FAQ Frequently asked questions
How do I operate the bicycle washing system?
Select the cleaning program, open the door and push the bike inside. The conveyor belt will take over. Once the bike reaches the end point, gently push from behind to lock it in place, then close the door. The washing process runs fully automatically.
What happens to my bike inside the facility?
First, the bike undergoes a pre-wash using various, partly rotating nozzles. Then, depending on the selected program, a cleaning agent is sprayed on and allowed to take effect briefly. This is followed by the main wash, again using the nozzles. Finally, the bike is rinsed with clean water.
Can my bicycle be damaged?
No. The water pressure of the Bikewash system is limited to a maximum of three bar — far below that of a high-pressure cleaner. The cleaning agents do not harm paint, metal, or plastic and are environmentally friendly. The bike remains upright throughout the entire process.
Can the facility be operated by children or people with limited strength?
Yes. When the system is opened, a conveyor belt starts automatically at the end of the ramp, helping to push the bike inside. At the end of the belt, the bicycle locks into the wheel holder, and an indicator light shows you when it’s correctly positioned.
Does the system waste precious drinking water?
The bicycle washing system primarily uses recycled water. The runoff water is largely treated and reused. The supply of fresh water is kept to a minimum, and the water separation system ensures that substances such as oil or grease do not enter the wastewater.
Can I also operate such a bicycle washing system?
Of course. For businesses, we offer various business models. You can find more information under our business concept.
